After nearly 4 years of mobile programming, we’ve launched a new studio space in the heart of downtown Holland!
For nearly 4 years, we’ve relied on the incredible generosity of community partners to run mobile programming. Now, thanks in part to a $10,000 competitive grant from the Community Foundation of Holland/Zeeland, we’ve found a beautiful place to rest and put down some roots. Located on 6th Street near River Ave (24 W 6th) our new studio will house printmaking, digital arts, photography, creative movement, design, painting, and illustration classes. If you didn’t make it to our Open House on September 25, stop in from 10:00-3:00 M-W and check it out. Thursdays are dedicated to mobile programming and expanding our reach into Zeeland, and Fridays are remote admin days.
We’re so grateful to the organizations and businesses below who’ve opened their doors to us over the past 4 years – we’ve LOVED bringing our students to places they might not otherwise venture to on their own…places like Eighth Street & Window on the Waterfront, along with childhood favorites like Critter Barn & the Outdoor Discovery Center. Thank you for welcoming us (and our artistic messes), and for helping our students feel a little more at home in their city! We plan to continue some mobile programming each year because it’s incredibly valuable to our students, our city, and the development of creative and relevant curriculum.
Special thanks to every place we’ve called “home” over the past 4 years:
