Our mission is to cultivate creativity, build community, and empower students, in order to foster wholeness in a fractured world.
Through out-of-school-time classes, workshops, community-wide events, field trips, exhibitions, and internships, we utilize the arts as a vehicle for personal growth, academic success, and professional development.
All programs are taught by professional artists and designers working in their respective fields and supported by staff and mentors. Core values include accessibility, inclusion & belonging, sustainable/eco-friendly studio practices, access to industry-standard tools, equipment, and art supplies, culturally-relevant curriculum, cross-cultural understanding, interpersonal communication, pro-social engagement, and diverse representation of ideas and artistic practice. We’re committed to providing fair wages, career advancement, and training opportunities for artists & designers through professional development, internships, and work-study positions. As a youth-driven space, we meet weekly with our Student Advisory Council of 17 high school students who provide organizational leadership and direction.
