No experience or instrument needed! This class is perfect for students curious about the violin or viola.
Students entering 4th – 6th grade welcome. Students entering 6th grade orchestra in the fall will get a head start on essential skills to set them up for a successful first year. We will explore different musical styles, learn the basics, and enjoy fun games that build musical skills and friendships along the way.
All instruments, materials, and instruction are provided—just bring your curiosity and get ready to play!

Designed for students with 1–2 years of playing experience entering grades 5–8, this class is a great way to grow as a musician and make new friends!
Each week, students will sharpen their skills and learn new techniques to take their playing to the next level. The focus is on making music together—exploring new pieces and developing confidence in small ensemble settings, including opportunities to lead. Violin and viola instruments are available for use during the class if needed. Cello and Bass not provided.
Beginner Guitar with Suzanne Dorman

Join us for beginner guitar lessons! We’ll learn about the instrument, basic note reading skills, intro to chords, and how to play together as an ensemble. August 4 or 11th–TBD– will end with a performance for parents where we share the skills we’ve learned together. No instrument? No problem! We’ll have classical guitars available for your student to use for the duration of class.
