December 13th 6-8 pm at Lemonjello’s Coffee

December 14th 6-8 pm at CultureWorks

Over the past few years, I (Miranda), have been trying to give gifts in ways that are more thoughtful. As much as I love the ubiquitous pair of silly holiday socks, I’ve wanted my family to know that thought went into their presents. While I was in school, time was far more available to me than money, and being an artist I soon found myself giving handmade gifts whenever possible. People in my life received ceramics and hand-knit hats, and let me tell you, they were so excited about it!

As I’ve transitioned into full-time work, I now have more freedom to buy things from other artists and makers. The walls in my house are slowly filling up with original pieces from friends and coworkers. It’s exciting to know that I’m supporting local businesses and people, and simultaneously getting art that is one-of-a-kind.

If you’re looking for something unique and beautiful this year, shop local. Support your friends, family and neighbors whenever possible. If handmade ceramics, knitted and crocheted goods, and fine art are on your list, you can find them December 13th and 14th at our Winter Art Market. See you there!
