A recent 2020 study suggested people typically have more than 6,000 thoughts per day, which makes sense in an ever-moving world with so much exposure to all of its happenings. This class is designed for younger minds to consider how to rest in the present. We will learn a few meditative drawing techniques on day one with Zen doodling; we will consider mindful eating with Eighth Day Farm on day two; and finally, we will end our time together with some mindful movement and yoga on day three. This is an excellent end-of-summer wind down to foster self-soothing skills to take kids into the busy-ness of the school year.
