“There are always flowers for those who want to see them.” -Henri Matisse
This class is the perfect chance to “grow” creatively! Children will have the opportunity to join Indianapolis-based floral-designer, Emily Lindbloom, for three days of floral fun. During this time, they’ll explore and forage native flora; observationally draw to create a field catalogue; and explore the meanings of specific plants throughout Art History. This time will end with the opportunity to arrange a bouquet with in-season flowers with Emily in order to create a still-life painting of their arrangement, guided by local floral artist and CW Program Developer, Erin Drews. Participants will leave with two bouquets: one they’ve arranged, and its painted partner to keep forever.
