Imagination will take you everywhere. – Albert Einstein
In this creative writing and drawing class, we’ll imaginatively build our own worlds; topics will include map making, peoples and creatures, biomes and cities, societies and empire-building, cultures, arts, & languages. Join Matt and Cassidy as they discuss techniques for creating settings in Speculative Fiction* (sci-fi, fantasy, cyberpunk, and more) to help you create a vivid and internally consistent world from which to write your stories!
*Speculative fiction is an umbrella genre encompassing fiction with certain elements that do not exist in the real world, often in the context of supernatural, futuristic or other imaginative themes.
*Class does not meet on November 7 or November 28
