Saugatuck Center for the Arts invited CultureWorks to bring students to Fennville on July 8 to work on a large-scale mural with Sandra Antongiorgi behind Root Cafe. The mural will explore themes of belonging, healing, and community.
Antongiorgi is an accomplished singer, songwriter, and painter from Puerto Rico, who is currently based in Chicago. She’s known for her thought-provoking visual art and World, Latin, and Neo-Soul music. Check out some of her work at santongiorgi.com. Students who come will work on projects around the theme of the mural and on the mural itself. Meet us in Fennville or ride with one of our staff/volunteers, leaving from the Holland Area Arts Council parking lot at 8:30am and returning at 12:30.
